My legal name and gender change is finally complete (except for my passport and credit cards and insurance and old school records and). I'm officially male on both my birth certificate and driver's license.
And like, I didn't need the government to agree that I'm a man. I already was one. But that hasn't stopped me from giddily looking at my new driver's license (even if the picture is horrible and my state's IDs are hideous in general) for that quick spike of euphoria.
The affirmation is nice to have until we overthrow the government (or more likely, it collapses under the weight of its own bullshit) (or we all just die).
