Big fan of jan Misali and everything they stand for, but the problem with seximal is that it's too easy. Same problem as decimal, dozenal and all those other bases everyone advocates. The real world is HARD and UNFORGIVING and I'm tired of this PANDERING to LAZY PEOPLE who don't want to have to WORK.
That's why I'm currently working on a proposal for balanced suboptimal -- that is, base 17 but with digits for -8 through 8 instead of 1 through 16.
This is a good idea.

I would never want to use this as an actual base, but the fractions have some very satisfying patterns.
